Before opening a position, make sure your wallet is connected, your Trading Account is active, and you have deposited collateral into your Trading Balance.
Perpetual futures use leverage and can be liquidated. Higher leverage reduces the amount of adverse price movement your position can withstand.
Steps
Open Perps in Flipper V2.
Select the market you want to trade.
Review the market information, including:
current price;
Mark Price;
funding rate;
open interest;
order book.
Review the selected margin mode and leverage.
Choose an order type:
Market — attempts to execute immediately at the best available prices;
Limit — executes only at the price you set or better and may remain pending.
Select the position direction:
Long if you expect the market price to rise;
Short if you expect the market price to fall.
Enter the position size.
Review your available balance and the order details shown in the trading panel.
Check the estimated:
liquidation price;
slippage;
fees.
If needed, enable TP/SL and enter your take-profit or stop-loss levels.
Review the order and select Open Long or Open Short.
Changing leverage also changes the required margin and estimated liquidation price. Review both before submitting the order.
Market and Limit orders
Market order
A Market order attempts to execute immediately at the best prices currently available.
The final execution price may differ from the displayed price because of slippage and market conditions.
Limit order
A Limit order executes only at the specified price or better.
A limit order may:
remain pending;
fill partially;
fill completely;
remain unfilled if the market does not reach the specified price.
Additional order types may be available under Advanced.
Expected result
After the order is submitted:
an executed order appears as an open position;
a limit order that has not executed remains under Pending;
the position appears under Positions;
position information includes its size, entry information, PnL, and available position controls.
TP/SL
You can add Take Profit and Stop Loss instructions when configuring the order.
TP/SL can help manage risk, but it does not guarantee execution at the exact selected price during fast markets or periods of limited liquidity.
If it doesn’t work
Try these checks:
Make sure your Trading Account is active.
Check that you have enough available collateral.
Review the selected market and order type.
Check the entered size and leverage.
Make sure the market is currently available for trading.
If you submitted a Limit order, check Pending before placing another order.
If the order appears delayed or its result is unclear, check Positions, Pending, and order history before submitting another order.
If an error appears, take a screenshot or screen recording.
If you are unsure whether an order was executed, do not submit the same order again until the first attempt has been checked.
If the issue continues, contact Flipper Support through Live Chat or Discord Support Ticket.
